Advocating for Greater Access to Mental Healthcare Among LGBTQ Israeli Immigrants

Last week, Anna Talisman, head of the LGBTQ support project at Project Kesher Israel (PKI), represented the organization at the Social Workers' Association conference in Jerusalem. She gave a presentation that highlighted PKI's ongoing work supporting the emotional well-being and mental health of the Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking LGBTQ communities.

Anna emphasized the critical importance of improving access to emotional and mental health support for these groups, who often face unique challenges due to language barriers and cultural differences. She called for increased resources and tailored support services to better meet the needs of this vulnerable population.
