Women’s Opportunity Fund Launches FemAgro to Support Women in Agribusiness

Project Kesher Ukraine’s Women’s Opportunity Fund (WOF-UA) has introduced FemAgro, an educational and grant initiative designed to help Ukrainian women start or expand their agribusinesses. Implemented in partnership with Ukrainian Food Valley and funded by The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), FemAgro offers training in micro-entrepreneurship, agrotechnology, marketing and financing.

FemAgro is dedicated to empowering women who grow vegetables, berries, flowers and greens on small plots, in greenhouses or through vertical farming. Participants in the Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, and Vinnytsya regions have the opportunity to receive a grant of UAH150,000 (just over $3,500 USD) for greenhouse construction and equipment.

Through mentorship, expert guidance and financial support, the program aims to help women achieve economic independence while strengthening Ukraine’s agricultural sector through sustainable, small-scale farming. "Our goal is to help micro-agribusiness entrepreneurs become competitive, cultivate quality produce and find their place on the market," shared Vlada Nedak, CEO and founder of the WOF-UA.
