Bringing Joy and Hope to Displaced and Frontline Families in Ukraine

The Mishloach Manot charitable initiative, a collaboration between PKU and the Beri Foundation, has brought joy and hope to children and their mothers across Ukraine. These families, many of whom are internally displaced or from frontline and low-income communities, received special Purim gift sets filled with meaningful and festive items. Each package included a paint-by-numbers set, a nightlight message board, sticker packs, a wooden model kit, a traditional Purim noisemaker and a selection of sweets.

Recognizing the importance of self-care for mothers as well, PKU enhanced the initiative by including hand cream and lip balm, generously provided at a discount by Korica, a women-led natural cosmetics store in Kryvyi Rih. “These gifts are both necessary and meaningful—for the children as well as for the moms!” shared Tetiana, a recipient. “It’s important not to forget to take care of ourselves, and your team has once again reminded us of that.”
