Project Kesher Represents Ukrainian Women at UN and Other NYC Events

Vlada Nedak, PKU & WOF-UA CEO, recently traveled to New York City where she attended numerous high-profile events, part of the global Ukrainian Support Summit, serving as the only participant currently residing in Ukraine. These events included the United Nations workshop, Words from the Ground: Peace-building and the Need for Action on Women in Armed Conflict, which gave Vlada a platform to share the realities of living in a war zone and the need for women to help shape the peace process.

While in New York, Vlada and other Project Kesher representatives also traveled to the Ukrainian Institute for the launch of We Are Not Silent, a book documenting conflict-related sexual violence against Ukrainian women and underscoring the urgent need for justice. During the event, Vlada met with Ambassador Melanne Verveer, a Ukrainian-American diplomat who served as the first U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues under the Obama Administration. Their conversation reinforced the importance of international advocacy and support for survivors of wartime sexual violence.

Project Kesher continues to use its influence to advocate at the highest level for the inclusion and empowerment of women globally.
