Female Agrarians Begin Training Under FemAgro Program
WOF-UA has officially commenced its highly anticipated FemAgro program, welcoming 120 women agrarians. These participants from the Dnipro, Poltava, and Vinnytsya regions of Ukraine are receiving meaningful help growing their businesses, which span vegetable farming, berry cultivation, floriculture, aromatic herb production and more.
FemAgro is offering participants intensive, virtual education and the opportunity to apply for grants to build greenhouses and acquire essential equipment. The program is being implemented in partnership with the Ukrainian Food Valley Public Association along with WOF-UA.
The program is off to a strong start, with the agrarians engaged in live chats on such topics as lavender fields, vineyards, raspberry cultivation, greens, vegetable seedlings, various potato varieties, soil analysis and basil compote. The community is already forming strong connections, paving the way for future collaboration and growth in Ukraine’s agricultural sector.
